CFSG engages with a number of organisations or individuals who work with cats and dogs and bring knowledge and experience in regards to issues like breeding, boarding, selling and grooming. These organisations are asked by CFSG membership to help on policy formation and reviews when needed and may be included in working groups.
There are two levels of stakeholder engagement which are as follows:
Key stakeholders – these are membership bodies who represent those who work or operate or hold expertise in a certain field with dogs and cats. Examples include:
Dog Breeding Reform Group
Association of Dog Boarders
British Isles Grooming Association
NARPS
The Professional Dog Breeders Association
Association of Licensed Kennels and Catteries
Home Breeders Association
General stakeholders: these are individuals, businesses or small charities who work, rescue or offer behaviour or training help relating to dogs and cats. Examples include grooming or walking businesses, re-homing centres, media representatives and veterinary practices. All general stakeholders are invited to an annual Big Tent meeting to work through the key issues and hear the latest plans for improvements to cat and dog health and welfare.
If you would like to be added to the list of CFSG stakeholders please send us an email setting out your experience and interests.
